#1. What kind of law are you going to practice? Probably none.
#2. When do you take the Bar Exam? Maybe February, but maybe never.
#3. Will Law School help with your real estate business? Absolutely.
People are surprised to learn that I don't have a burning desire to give up real estate and become a practicing attorney. They wonder why I bothered going through the agony of Law School if I am not going to practice law. The answer is pretty simple. About mid-way through law school I realized that I would absolutely hate practicing law the usual way. I very nearly quit but decided to hang in there and finish the degree. I am glad that I did because I really learned a lot about all kinds of law including Property, Land use, zoning, development and title issues. This will help me better serve my clients.
The real question is why are we so focused on learning for a purpose in the U.S.? I was talking with a Canadian friend of mine who pointed out that in Canada and Europe people often get degrees just for the sake of learning something new. They think nothing of pursuing education just to increase their own knowledge whether they end up using it or not.
Studies have shown that those who continue learning new things have a decreased risk of Alzheimer's disease. So, maybe my new answer to those who question why I went to Law School will be Alzheimer's prevention.
My goal is to provide you with outstanding service, clear communication, and information. I'm dedicated to achieving the best results for my clients. ------------------------------------------------....
